Mission

Greenhouse Project is a curatorial group committed to exploring contemporary art and its analysis, dialoging across disciplinary and cultural boundaries. We work in the Williamsburg area of Brooklyn, New York, developing multidisciplinary exhibitions that encourage artistic production, curatorial exercise, art criticism and educational and cultural experiences to a diverse community.

Goals\ Purpose

- Greenhouse Project was conceived as a “think tank” for independent curators, which will gather to produce exhibitions of works of contemporary art to display at existing venue spaces.  The main objective of this group is to develop a flexible, eloquent and diverse curatorial experience for individuals interested and engaged in the exploration of contemporary issues.

-Through the preparation of multidisciplinary exhibitions Greenhouse Project provides an evident showcase to illustrate our interest in challenging hierarchies established on the basis of medium format.

- Greenhouse Project acts as a reference to a broad range of aspect of “culture-making” at a local and transnational level, assisting the development of a diverse body of emerging artists, curators, critics, collectors and alternative spaces.

- To generate and promote the elaboration of publications (website, brochures and newsletters) related to art exhibitions. Greenhouse Project wants to give equal importance to critical discussion to be on par with its exhibitions.
